STEP 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

a) If you are using a “Pizza Stone”, place it in the oven at this time to heat up.

b) If you are using a metal pan, see next step.

STEP 2

Flour your pizza pan or pizza peel. (If you do not have a pizza peel, but you are using a pizza stone, you can take any flat, sturdy surface to stretch the dough onto so it will easily slide into the oven onto your pizza stone.)

STEP 3

Flour each side of your dough thoroughly.

STEP 4

Take your fingers and impress a small crust into your dough.

STEP 5

Using your fingertips, evenly press down the dough inside the crust you made.

STEP 6

Pick up the dough and gently stretch the edge of the dough. Each time you gently stretch the dough, turn the dough slightly to stretch another area. This will prevent any holes tearing in the dough.

STEP 7

Place your stretched dough onto a pizza peel or any floured flat and sturdy surface.

STEP 8

Spread your sauce evenly across the inside of the pizza crust.

STEP 9

Place any desired toppings onto your pizza sauce.

STEP 10

Sprinkle desired amount of cheese evenly across the toppings. (Be careful not to get the cheese too close to the edge of your pizza because it will run off of your pizza onto your oven.)

STEP 11

Cook your pizza to your desired amount of “doneness” which should be anywhere from 8-12 minutes depending upon your oven’s cooking ability. Check on your pizza often to ensure even cooking. If you experience uneven cooking, you can turn the pan or stone 180 degrees (or a half turn) to cook the crust evenly.

STEP 12

When your pizza is done, remove it from the oven with your pizza peel or any flat and sturdy surface. Let the pizza sit for 1-2 minutes before cutting. This will allow the cheese to cook slightly and reduce the cheese from sliding.
